One Response to “the Lower Garden Dist”

  1. The article in todays paper (2/15/09)mentions a B&B in the 1400 blk of Magazine St. As a former resident of NOLA, I would not recommend that area–known as the Lower Garden Dist.– its a bit dicey. My parents stayed there and it was not safe for them to go out and stroll around. My rule of thumb is this: when you don’t know where to stay, stay where people are known to go. In New Orleans, thats the Convention Ctr/Canal St run, and anywhere in the Quarter, and the Faubourg Marigny, east of the Qtr., home of a few smaller hotels and B&Bs.
