I think the best place to stay in Hong Kong is Cheung Chau Island. The is about an hour ferry ride from Central. The biggest attraction of the island is that there are no cars on the island. When you wake up in the morning all you hear are waves crashing on the beach and the wind in the trees. The island has both hotels and bed and breakfast places. After running around HK all day it is a great place to go and rest. Plus there are a million places to explore on the island. I stay here every time I go to HK.
