As an expat living here for the past couple of years, air pollution has become a big problem. Some days its literally impossible to see across the harbour. If you have asthma or other similar conditions be advised to bring medicine and such.
A friend who lived in Hong Kong suggested a wonderful tour. Ride the tram (streetcar) which runs close to the north shore of Hong Kong Island, across the business center downtown (Central) and then through the Chinese neighborhoods to the east and west. A fantastic tour for only HK 2.00 each way (I think you will need exact change). Be sure to go up to the top deck. This was the highlight of my Hong Kong visit.
