Foulksmills is 2 hours drive from Dublin city and is a hidden gem. Foulksmills is off the beaten track and as a result there are not many tourists. This gives visitors the chance to relax or even hang out with the locals at the two village pubs. Mill Farm Cottages are a cluster of nineteenth century stone farmhouses which have been restored and comfortably furnished. Some of the houses have balconies which overlook the river and mill house. The ultimate in relaxation. One of the main events in Foulksmills each year is the local duck race in the local park.
