We just got back from a February trip to Ireland and found that while unconventional, it was a very nice time to be abroad. Because we able to get excellent deals on wonderful accommodations, we were able to be more spontaneous about our travel plans without worrying quite as much about pricing and availability. It was a bit chilly for us coming from San Francisco, with temperatures lingering around 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Though while it was always wet on the ground and in the air, it never seemed to actually rain.Overall, I would recommend not being dissuaded by the travel guides from travel to Ireland in the winter time.
